This midge is almost an exact representation of the midge larvae in our rivers. If you in doubt about which fly to tie on and you have tried a couple of others. This is a proven and time tested pattern.

The zebra midge works so well because of all of the key elements of Tailwater fly fishing that it emphasises.

Color/Size/Slenderness/Segmentation/Durability. This fly does have it all a is a very good representation of all of the plethura of midges that fill our waters and the trout’s diet.
